Validacion del nombre
Codigo de ejemplo de como validar un campo de nombre onde vamos a verificar si ese nombre tiene numeros, espacios en blanco,guiones, apostrofes etc

La función preg_match() busca un patrón en una cadena y devuelve verdadero si el patrón existe, y falso en caso contrario.
Validar correo electrónico
La forma más fácil y segura de verificar si una dirección de correo electrónico está bien formada es usar la función filter_var() de PHP.

Validar URL
el seguiente codigo nos va a decir si una url su sintaxis es valida o no.
